DAY ONE: My favorite song

My Favorite Song
Well first of all.. I love pretty much all music! I have especially enjoyed music from the 80’s lately. I’ve been picking the music at work lately and we have been listening to the 80’s.. Everyone is getting sick of it but I love it!
As for my FAVORITE song, I would have to say that for quite a few years it has been ‘Bless the Broken Road’ by Rascal Flatts. I have always enjoyed Rascal Flatts but this song quickly became my favorite when Judd and I started dating. He told me once that he wasn’t sure what kind of music different girls liked so he would just listen to Rascal Flatts when he was on a date because most girls like them. Well as our relationship progressed we of course didn’t ALWAYS listen to Rascal Flatts but we did listen to them a lot and he would sing ‘Bless the Broken Road’ while holding my hand. He’d pause to give me a kiss once in a while also, which of course would bring tears to my eyes.. Yes, I cry pretty easy! That is how it became ‘our song’. It was the song we danced to on our Wedding day and we still listen to it regularly while we are on the road. He still sings it every time we hear it on the radio or put the CD in. The words in RED are my favorite part!

BLESS THE BROKEN ROAD
RASCAL FLATTS
I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brown and kept pushing through
I couldn’t see how every sign pointed straight to you
That every long lost dream lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart, they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
Yes it did
I think about the years I spent just passing through
I’d like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You’ve been there you understand
It’s all part of a grander plan that is coming true
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
And others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know it’s true
That God blessed the broken road
That lead me straight to you
Yeah
And now I’m rolling home  Into my lover’s arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
That God blessed the broken road
Ooh, ooh
That led me straight to you
