I just recently attended a class on using coupons. I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT IT!! It doesn't help as much with the main things you need, like milk, eggs, cheese and meat, but I can't believe how much we can save on things like shampoo, toothpaste, cereal, and soaps. It is also so easy! Get onto the website, find the things you want to buy and print off your grocery list. Someone else has already done the work to find the deals!
I am, also, really excited to get our food storage built up. That is one thing that I could really do better about is making sure that our family would be taken care of if, heaven forbid, Judd or I lost our job, or there was some kind of disaster not allowing us to go to the store. How empowering it will be to know that we won't go hungry (or dirty!), that our physical needs will be taken care of.
So, does that mean you are going to share the website with the rest of us? :0)
ReplyDeleteI hope this goes well for you. i attended the same class you did and i did not do good at it. it was all too overwhelming for me, if it works out i will send my money and list to you and you can do my shopping ;)
ReplyDeleteStephanie: SURE! It is grocerysmarts.com but you need the 'passport' number also. I'm at work and it's at home so I will have to get it to you later. I will call you with it so I can talk to you about it too! Hope you're doing good.. That baby should almost be here! Right??
ReplyDeleteAmber: I'm wondering if it is the same way I was taught because I think it sounds pretty simple.. Were you cutting out every coupon or were you just saving the whole stack and cutting the ones you needed as the sale for that item came on? Just curious. If you want to try again I'd be happy to tell you about how I'm going to do it.. I haven't started so we'll see if it really is as easy as I am thinking it will be. :)
