Well the 30 day blog challenge is over for me. I have lost interest and I have a hard time getting on everyday to post because I am so busy with the boys so it is taking FOREVER and then I don't post about the fun things that me and the boys are up to!
This summer has been GREAT! I have loved having Sladen here with us. He is so a great big brother! He loves Lincoln and always wants to help take care of him. He will sit by him and talk to him and sing to him, he talks to him in the cutest high pitched voice. :) He watches him while I take a shower or make food. He loves it when he can get Lincoln to stop crying, by either giving him his pacifier or rocking him.
We have been spending as much time outside as possible. We walk to the park or just go outside at our house. Our ward does a park day once a week and a couple girls in the ward get together and the kids play and the mom's talk. It is so fun to have other kids for Sladen to play with. There is also a family that lives down the street from us that has a boy Sladen's age that we get together with and play in the sprinklers or go to the park (some more). We also go to the movies once a week. The theater has kids movies Mon-Thurs that are only $1! We saw How to Train Your Dragon this week. Sladen loves the movie and I love how inexpensive it is! WIN WIN! Sladen starts swim lessons next week. I'm excited to be able to do that with him.
Lincoln is doing really good. I get at least one 4-5 hour stretch of sleep at night. Sometimes I get two! :) He has gotten WAY better at nursing which I am very grateful for.. I was about to give up. At his 2 week appt he as back to his birth weight and I think in the last 4 weeks that he has gained about 2 pounds. He no longer fits in his newborn clothes *SAD* but now he gets to wear more cute clothes. :) I can't wait for his next Dr appt to see how much he has grown.
Oh, I am so jealous you have Sladen to help. I know he is also probably a lot of work sometimes, but it would be oh so wonderful if Isabela were beyond the terrible two stage. Although I can't believe how fast they grow up. Lincoln has already grown a ton! We just weighed Xander today and he is 14lbs 3oz. Crazy! I love hearing about all of your fun activities... I need to get out of the house and do more things like that. I am going crazy! ;)
ReplyDeleteI just can't believe how big of a help he is. It has been WONDERFUL. We love getting out.. I cannot stay at home all day.. I feel like a crazy person. :) We should meet up and go to Willow Park!
